The new Wira Single Fibre Strength Machine includes a colour touch screen interface, making the operation even easier. The device has been designed specifically for measuring the breaking load of single fibres. It is a compact table-top unit with ergonomically positioned controls, which ensure easy operation. The fibres are conveniently held by electromagnetic clamps, which positively grip the fibre at preset test lengths of 10mm or 20mm.
The machine is ideally suited for the assessment of fibre damage during processing and for routine quality control of incoming materials. Its high sensitivity and wide range (0-500g) make it suitable for testing a wide variety of fibre types.
