The deluxe Wira MK3 Cotton Fibre Fineness and Maturity Meter includes additional features and settings which have significantly reduced the test time whilst the colour touch screen provides a user-friendly interface.
Test Method
A 4.0 gram clean and opened sample of cotton is placed in the sample chamber. Air is drawn through the sample while electronic sensors measure both the air flow and air pressure.
Measurements are taken at two different compressions and airflowrates, in accordance with international test methods for cotton maturity, from which the fibre fineness (millitex), Micronaire, Maturity% and Maturity ratio can be calculated.
Special Features
. Elimination of vacuum pump.
. Airflow generated by compressed air.
. Faster tests.
. Pneumatic operation of sample chamber.
. 10 second dwell time to meet requirements ISO 10306:2014, can be adjusted to further
reduce test time.
. New test modes.
. Increased sample size.
